If you’re reviewing someone else’s Power BI dashboard how would you ask for an output / report / view showing the schematic design / layout of the dashboard, in other words how it links to the source data?

I’m not a Power BI expert (obviously) but part of my job entails checking these things are correct.

Ideally you'd get them to either send you the PBIX file (I assume you have the desktop app installed to open those), or have them enable the 'download PBIX' option on the report in the Web Service interface.

If you're looking to talk to actual humans you may want to stick to something conceptual, logical or contextual before documenting the physical views (which are basically the contents of the PBIX file).
