Power button problems-Sorted

Hi all, I will be working on a custom desk with pc built in for my A-level product design assessment but have a question.

Can I use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4m-15A-RE...5?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3cc0db5649 and solder it on to a original mobo pin connector thing with this switch http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-032-DT?

The problem I think I have got it the wire but what should I use and will it work? Thanks James

That cable is too thick. Look for something much thinner. Generic speaker wire perhaps if you want to keep the two core type. Something 28awg-22awg (0.1mm - 0.3mm sq) will be more suitable than 3.0mm heavy duty cable.

What sort of lenght does it have to be? I have a very old case which is being scrapped, so I could send you the cable, providing it is long enough for your needs.

Well I'm yet to make the full case plans yet, Thanks for the offer but ive got a old case I can nick the wire from but now I know what type of wire to use I can add some on if I have to. Thanks for your help and offer Ill be sure to post up my plans when they are more solid !!
