Power buttons

Quick question - we need a case power button for a case that inexplicably doesn't have one. OCUK seem to only sell Lian Li buttons, so my question is - are the connectors standardized, or would a Lian Li button not work? Not bothered about fitting it, that can be accomplished with a drill

The connections are standardised so IMO yes that should work. Usually coming from the switch you have something along the lines of:

Power Switch +/-
Power LED +/-

And the same for the reset switch, just look up in the motherboard manual where abouts these plug into.

All power/reset buttons do is complete a circuit, you can replace a button with a screwdriver if you really wanted . To answer your question though that button would do fine. If you wanted something cheaper you can go to your local electronics shop and pick up something for really cheap (if you're planning on making your own housing for it anyway)
