Hi All

Some where i have seen a site where you can chuck all your components in and it tells you the Watts Drawn, what is it lol ? I just wanna work out if i can go Sli with some head room left ;)

cheers mate @ 100% load my system in SLI 825w according to that site

Gunna be a close one lol

Edit, Thats recommended PSU :D only about 780w drawn

Most sites tend to show recommended wattage PSU to use, one being below:

Looking at actual power draw your best bet is to look at review sites as these often show total power draw from the socket.

is it just my imagination or does these sorts on online calculators really over-compensate?

i understand why they do it though:
- people dont get underpowered psu's and blame problems on their calculator
- they might be back-handed by psu companies :p

i personally think they do indeed over calculate but its better to over than under, i would be worried if my system with another 480 pulled 750w all day lol

i personally think they do indeed over calculate but its better to over than under,

i think they should give two values

1) actual power requirement - no bias, just the real value

2) rounded up safe value

e.g.

1) your system should draw ~230W

2) we suggest a 250/300W
