Anyone recommend me a power consumption site or is someone kind enough to do it for me.

AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X Rev2.0 WindForce 3X OC 3072MB
Gigabyte 970A-UD3 Rev.3.0
2x 500gb HHD
5x 120mm fan

No overclocking will be done. Ive got my old 500w corsair psu at hand will that be enough? making a build from my old parts and buying the GPU for my brother in law.

Thanks

I'd rather use a 1 year old psu that a B grade to be honest

Just because it's labelled B-grade doesn't mean it's on its last legs. My sound card was b-grade, and the box was tatty, previously opened and an adapter was missing. The card itself was brand new and perfect condition. I'm happy with 50% off and a considerable amount saved.

I'd say you'd be okay to use a 500W power supply, but something about 600W and 80+ gold rated would be the most efficient PSU to run that system. (BeQuiet's PSU calculator showed me this! :))

Yep in another thread recently someone said their 4670k and 780 setup only pulls around 300w, so you will be fine :)
