Power consumption considerations

Hi all

I've lately been thinking about getting a Synology NAS (option A)
Synology Diskstation DS211J 2-Bay Gigabit Ethernet Network Attached Storage Enclosure [DS211J]

but have realised that for the same price I could get (option B):
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 840 "95W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
Asus M4A88T-M AMD 880G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ Intel Extreme XMP 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 10666C7 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit (OCZ3X1333LV4GK)

and run ESXi with virtual machines (freeNAS, pfSense) etc.

I am very set on option B but I was wondering - how much more power would option B consume keeping in mind this is a 24x7 box?

I run my spare pc with the AMD 640 cpu with onboard gpu and this from memory pulls around 60 - 100w depended on load.

The Synology pulls 25w when accessing according to the specs.

I have HP Micro-server and this pulls around 30w ~
