power consumption

After recently buying a shuttle and realising the limitations of components due to the power supply it has got my checking the power consumption of all my upgrades. I also picked up a cheap power meter from a certain local electronics store for £8. I'm currently in the market for a new gfx but thought this would be an interesting thread to find out the actual power usage from each spec and the psu that's being used.

ok here's mine

Shuttle SG31G2
e6600 @ stock 2.4ghz
2x 2gb memory
1x 320gb hdd
dvdrw
250w shuttle psu (soon to be a 300w)

with onboard intel gfx 128mb (can be set upto 384mb max)

65w idle
85w load

with ATI x1550 256mb

85w idle
115w load

with ATI x1650 512mb

idle 85w
load 130w

next will hopefuly be an 8800 GTX

The amps was my next worry after the wattage. These 2 PSUs are 70% and 72% efficient at 100% load

300w PSU isn't going to power this system if you have an 8800GTX installed...
