Power control settings in CCC Values?

Hi there,

I am in the process of overclocking my 6970, I am using CCC. I was wondering what the recommended Power control settings was? It ranges from -20 to +20

I am a graphics card novice. Thank's for any advice given.

Cancel that. I set the values to 950/1450. However it crashes when trying to run Heaven benchmark, "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" Why can't I get a stable overclock at these settings when everyone else can straight out of the box?

Am I missing something? Am I supposed to blend in the Overclock gradually like I would with a CPU overclock? I was under the impression I could just crank it up.

To get my 6970 to overclock to 950/1450, i had to increase the power to +10, and set the fans to 48% when in game, to stop any driver crashes. Try that, but if that doesn't work, maybe you will need to wait for the next set of drivers, I've been having overclocking troubles myself which I think are software bound tbh
