Hi there
I built a new PC two weeks ago, details in sig. Problem is when I switch off my PC for 8-10 hours then turn on sometimes it boots then a few minutes later total power is lost. No lights on MB, no fans spinning, nothing. The Enermax Noisetaker cooling fan stills works for 2 minutes then switch off. If I press the power button on the PC nothing other than the out take fan begins to spin then stops. But when the PC is on it is fine, prime, OCCT, games memtest. All works perfect. This has happened 3 times this week after I have had my machine turned off for a few hours. Normally I leave my PC on day after day but to save energy and trees I have decided to switch off more often. One issue is my PSU has only a 4 pin adaptor but the Biostar I45 requires an 8 pin adapter on the MB. But I only have issues sometimes not always when booting after the machine has been off for hours. It is like it is having trouble supplying power on start up or something.
Any suggestions on what it might be?
Thanks
Michael
