power cutting out on boot

2 months ago my computer started cutting out on boot-up. The PSU would lose power during boot up and go through endless cycles of powering up. I replaced the PSU with an old one from my spare computer - HYPER 580 W I think.

Today exactly the same problem started happening. Anyone any experience of what the problem is and do you think there might be an underlying problem that two PSU's might die in such a short time???

Could be a short in your system. Why not remove the mobo and build outside of the case to test?

As above I would be inclined to think you have a short somewhere inside the case.

There's obviously something device that is too much for the PSU. If it's old/existing PUS then the PSU may have a fault
