Power cycles after power up problem - please help

Hi, I just built 2 identicle systems, both showing the same problem. Has anyone seen this before :

I've not had either machine boot properly yet. Using Corsair HX 520W with Abit IP35. Press the power button and the machines will power up (lights and fans) for a couple of seconds, then power down. Then up and will then initiliase the display etc.

I've checked all connectors etc. Are there issues between these particular parts?


(There are further problems, but I'll put them in a more specific thread.)

Any help appreciated.

Hi Guys, I've managed to find the solution myself. The issue is know as "Double boot". It's a fault with the bios (and some other IP35 chipsets that manage their own straps). Bios 14 is meant to fix the problem for the Abit IP35 and IP35-E. It was released at the end of November 07. BUT it will still do it the first time you turn it on after plugging the power cord in.
