Power DVD 7.3 - Error when trying to install?

Hi there, I wonder if you can help. I've installed PowerDVD version 7.3 on vista 32bit and all updates and when I try to activate my installation with the CD Key a little box comes up saying: "Activating Now", and then undeneith it says:

You cannot upgrade PowerDVD 7.3 because you do not have administrator privalages on this computer.

And I'm logged in as administrator, its my PC and I dont share the PC with any other users, so I dont unserstand why its saying this and I've never had any trouble installing it in the past?

are you logged in with the actual administrator account or your own account thats got administrative priveladges?

Are you running the installer as Admin? if not then right-click the exe and choose the Run As Admin option to see if it helps.

What anti-vir you got? Mcafee VirusScan Enterprise with maximum protection on will cause this error as it will block access to some folders and installation paths needed by the installer.Try disabling your anti-vir and try installing again.
