Power DVD not playing discs

I have Power DVD BD Edition 7.3 which came with my BD-ROM drive and it seems to have stopped playing discs, either BD or DVD. When I press play it just does nothing. The disc reads OK and DVDs I can play in Windows Media player so I know it isn't a problem with the disc.

I also can't find the CD to reinstall it so I haven't tried that.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to play discs again or another free alternative for playing BDs?
