Power hungry system

hey guys

just out of intrest whar power supply would you recommend for this system?

intel q6600 (overclocked to 3.0ghz+)
northq siberian tiger cpu water cooler
4gb ocz ddr2 800 ram
evga 680 sli motherboard
2 x geforce gtx 260/280s
3 sata harddrives

would a corsair 620w do? or bump it up to 750+?

just to add, ive got a hiper 730w type R power supply at the mo in an old system, would this be alrite? or is it time ti upgrade

730 is fine

have you got the pc already btw?

if not i would not get 2xGTX 260 or GTX280 with that MB as you will loose a lot of performance due to the limited pcie slot speed

thxs for the reply, yep i have and picked up 2 gtx 260s cheap in the usa, got 2 for under $400 which weren't bad,

the motherboard ive had for a while, and processor etc.

will give it a go and see how it goes,

The 680i motherboard will be fine with sli gtx 260/280 as both pcie slots operate at 16x on this board. its only the 650 series that runs at 8x in sli.

Not that I'm aware of. I'd personally recommend e.g. a Corsair or Enermax.

corsair for me i think, 620w be fine? like the fact its a modular one so can keep the cables tidy

I have gone off corsair because the rma shipping address is holland so if it goes wrong even 1 day over 12 months you are looking at £30 + to rma it.
Try and buy a power supply with a uk shipping rma depot I hear tagan doesn't charge to rma a power supply.
