Just after some suggestions...
My sisters computer was making a very strange noise, after she switched it off. It was flashing the light inside the on button, and making a short power burst. My initial reaction was to check if she has left it in sleep mode by mistake, pushed the button once - nothing. Moved the mouse/pushed a key on the keyboard - again, nothing.
I tried holding down the power button and this didn't switch it off either, so I was left with only one option - cutting the power. Now it won't switch on?
My guess is the power supply has shorted out, or a possible power surge - however, I am open to all suggesions.
