I want to transport my Ps3, but dont want to unplug the lead everytime, as i have it all setup, and the wires hidden in cable wrap,, so can you just buy a specific power lead from an electrical retailer?

As far as i know the plug is a normal "kettle" type plug. Pretty sure its the same type as used on most PC's, monitors and household appliances. Not sure but i think its a C15 type, if the socket has a plastic 'block' opposite the earth pin then its C15.

While im at it another question, lol,, im conecting the Ps3 to a tele at work,, via hdmi,, get the picture but no sound,, it comes up with, hdmi does not produce sound, or something like that??

yeah mate if you had it connected via the av lead previously the audio will stilll be set as AV out rather than HDMI. It can auto pick up HDMI for video output not audio though.

ahh right,, i have got it set to HDMI,, because my home tv supports this?? very strange,, perhaps it defaults if the console is disconnected?

Also known in the trade as an IEC power lead ;)
