Power leads?

Hi Guys

Had a system i ordered from OCUK which is just out of warranty and there are issues powering it up sometimes which i've eventually traced to the connection of the power leads to the mobo.

If i wiggle these then usually i can get it to boot and then it's okay until next time i switch the machine on when sometimes it boots okay but other times i have to jiggle the leads again.

Not sure what to do really, would a new power supply come with leads attached or can i just get replacement leads?

Any help gratefully recieved!

That sounds like a bad connection
Fire hazard
And i have seen a computer go in flames from the 24pin power connector
Get a magnifying glass and take a look at every pin in the 24 and 8 pin of the power supply
If it is modular change the rest of the plugs
Get another power supply from somebody and try to recreate the conditions
Any change in color in plugs means dander

Thanks, i'm wondering if the PSU will have leads attached and i'll need to replace it or individual leads that would plug into it and then into the MOBO?

Is fully modular
If a cable is at fault you should just buy some replacements
But first step 24pin and 8 pin might be damaged from heat(electricity) or physical abuse
Cable should be the only suspect in your description
But if the cale is near the ram you might be moving the ram or something else with the wiggle
