I recently moved my trusty old Zotac ION ITX motherboard into a new quieter case, and have a minor problem with the power LED ( i.e the LED on the case) : it doesn't come on when the PC powers up and boots Windows , but if I shut down Windows (or hibernate) the power LED starts flashing slowly (like Sleep mode on a laptop.
On my other mini-ITX machine ( a recent ASRock motherboard) there is a UEFI Chipset option called "Good Night LED mode" or similar which switches off the power LED when the PC is running, but I cant for the life of me find such an option in the elderly AMI BIOS (v8.0.15 ) which the old Zotac uses.
It wouldn't be such a problem but the new case is so quiet that I can't easily tell if the Zotac is powered on, so it would be nice to see a power LED on !
The LED may have behaved in the same way on the old case - don't recall 100%..
The CMOS battery was recently changed.
Any ideas or pointers welcome... thanks
