There's nothing to guarantee that Powerline adapters would perform any better than wireless? Is the wireless actually causing problems?

A cable + switch would be preferable for both cost and performance if you're willing to do the work.

i have the TPlink av1200 set, one in the house and one in the garage.

almost perfect, max out my 80mb internet, pings are good and having 2.4 and 5ghz wifi all
over the garden is great.

just one small issue, i get 113MBps from the house(router) to the garage but only a fraction of that the other way..

in the garage i have one cable to the tv one to the xbox and one to a hub.

takes longer to unbox them than it does to get them up and running.

113Mbps presumably? To get 113MBps you're going to need a cable not Powerline.

Apologies for the pedantry, but the difference between bits and bytes matters in this context.

Did you pause long enough to set your own encryption keys?

just tried it, it actually says 113MB/s when a file transfer is from the house to the garage.

its 7MB/s the other way lol.

Just over 900 Mbps over Powerline? Not in this reality!

i have typed it as its displayed on the screen, i thought a capital B was bytes and a lowercase was bits, it is
showing that uppercase B so i can only post what i am seeing.

anyhow help me out a little here, is 1200Mbps = to 150MBps (my AV1200 are 1200Mbps lol)

and why only 7MB the other way, thats odd.

Displayed on the screen where and under what circumstances?

1200Mbps is 150MBps.

Powerline has massive overheads that need to be taken into account. If any set Powerline adapters manages over 200Mbps in real world conditions it's a miracle.
