Power Line networks

Hi Guys,

anyone here use one of the Power Line network connections? the other half lives in a pretty big house so one side doesnt get a wifi signal, was thinking of hooking the router up on the power line thing and then having a second wireless routor on the other side of the house, anyone done this before? is it easy?

It's easy to do. Just switch DHCP off on the 2nd router. Alternative would be to buy a Powerline adaptor with Wireless built-in - I've got a Devolo one and it has never dropped a connection yet.

Why do you want a second router at the other end? I assume you want the extra ports?

The Powerline wireless extender should definitely do the job of providing a decent signal providing your power cables are setup in a suitable fashion
