Power line?

Do these things really work?

My router is in the kitchen and running my Xbox on wireless was ok but the signal was never full strength and seen as I'm paying out quite abit for my PC I don't mind splashing out on a power line kit or getting a better wireless kit on the PC

My provider is plusnet and the kit I was looking at was the:

TP-Link AV200 200Mbps Mini Powerline Starter Kit Ver:3.0 £29.99

Any help would be apreciated thank you

The powerline thing is appealing coz I'm average at DIY lol

This is my issue I'm also aware that the actual wiring loops is taken into consideration and tbh I do not know the history of the house I live in!

Will try and get it wired properly if it means waiting a little longer then I'd rather do that
