Power management - openSUSE

I've just created a new fileserver running on openSUSE. I've been using OpenSolaris for a while as I like ZFS, however I need to expand to other uses and I'm not sure I can handle proper UNIX as I'm a newb to linux, let alone full on UNIX. It also reduces the community support available, being on UNIX (I think).

Anyway, I've got SUSE setup now - RAID and everything done. One thing I cannot figure out how to do (which I did on OpenSolaris) is setting the RAID drives to power down. I'm sure it was a case of setting a power timeout on powerconf or something like that (did it a while ago).

I cannot find the same type of config in SUSE however. I have been scouring /etc/ for one and have come across some config files, but none deal with the hard drives in the same way. I'm not sure HDParm would work because the RAID drives are desktop drives and show 'AdvancedPM=no'.

Any help would be appreciated! The system only draws 48W with drives powered down, yet 65W with them all running. I want a 5 minute timeout to power down the drives as I know there will not be too much access on them.
