i have 2 pcs - both vista x64. 1 has power management as an option on the properties of a device in device manager (like the mouse, keyboard, NIC etc) but the other doesnt.

it's annoying since to turn the pc back on from hibernate i have to use the main power button and not just tap 'power' on the keyboard (PC is in a corner that's slightly awkward to get to).

i have no idea why it's doing this. - they are both showing in dev man as 'ACPI x64-based PC'

You need to check if both mobo's are acpi compliant, that the bios are setup correctly and the software installed correctly.

it used to work on it though - that's the weird thing (same install, no mobo changes made). device manager says it's an ACPI pc.

found a reg mod i'll try tonight on it

still no joy. reg edit gave my the tab on my nic but not the mouse/kb. installed logitechs drivers just in case - still the same :(
