Hi everyone,

I've a RESERATOR 1 V2 that is cooling my KnoppMyth media centre. Boy it sure is very quiet now and I am very happy :D

I am aiming for this Media centre to turn itself off and back on again when it needs to record. This is perfectly do able through the wakeup to record feature included.

When I implement this, the computer will shut down and start up again to record programmes as necessary, saving power and the environment, but the Zalman Reserator will just keep chuggin away indefinately - a waste of power and more pressingly the pump may die much sooner than necessary.

Does anyone know if I can power the pump from a spare molex?
The information off the website about the pump is this-
Integrated Water Pump : 5 W, Qmax 300L/h
(A type: 230V-50Hz, B type: 120V-60Hz,
C type: 220V-60Hz, D type: 110V-60Hz)
I'm assuming the pump I've got is type A.

Any help would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Brilliant! That's exacly what I am looking for.
What a cool bit of kit.

I shall be ordering one immidiately or shortly thereafter. :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Er, don't think so.
(After a quick rummage in a drawer)
The manual several things:
1. Use a power strip with a power switch, and connect both PC and Resiserator 1 Plus to the power strip to allow simultanios power ON/OFF switching.
...
8. If the the system is not to be used for an extended period of time, turn the Water Pump OFF.
So I guess that's a no, turn off when not in use. ;) --- Unless you've seen something somewhere I've missed that is.
