Power off - boot problems

Hi Folks

Occasionally my PC gets accidentally shut down on the wall plug mains switch. When it does it's very reluctant to re-boot into Window's 8, it hangs on the motherboard splash screen then a black screen saying it can't find the boot drive, "select the right boot drive then re-start".

It takes multiple re-starts and usually entering the bios, then esc without making any changes before it will eventually recognise the "C" drive Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive and boot into Windows. The PC will then run, shut down and boot flawlessly until the next time it accidentally loses power at the switch.

Any thoughts a swifter recovery if it loses power again?
