Hello.
Brought one of the OC's Tech Labs AM5 pre-built systems with the following spec last month.
1x CORSAIR RMe Series RM1200e Fully Modular ATX 3.1 Power Supply) as every time I did anything more demanding than run notepad the PSU would start popping!! (not sure why they would allow you to buy a 5090 / 9950x3d with a 1000w psu but anyway... )
So every time I start the PC I press the power button and the fans fire up at full speed, the LED's fire up and it hums along for a minute or so before the fans settle down and then it shuts down again. If, however, I press the reset button as soon as the fans stop spinning at full speed the PC boots and goes into windows.
Q. Is this normal behaviour for PC's these days? Last PC I built was about 10 years ago and all you have to do was turn it on!
I'm also experiencing nvlddmkm issues which result in the screen going black randomly or rebooting itself. I'm working my way through trouble shooting this so will see if I need to RMA the 5090 in due course.
Thanks!!
