got two samsung 500gb hdds in AMD system.
the psu is a corsair TX650W they are all about 3/4 years old
the problem
the hdds click like mad ,you would say they are dead or on there way out and the AMD system will not boot in to windows and it do's not see the hdds any more in the bios ,so hdds dead yes
No if i plug the hdds in to my system they work with out clicking and my bios sees them fine ,
so is it the psu that on its way out ,it can use low powered hdds eg western digital green and ssds fine (my spares)
what do you guys think ?
AMD spec
motherboard Asus M4A89GTD-PRO-USB3(running on an old bios)
2x samsung 500gb hdds
blu-ray player
2x ati 5770
2x2gb xms3 ram
and AMD Phenom II X6 1055
all at stock
