Hi all
I have a problem getting power to my board, yesterday's problem was no power to get the pump combo to fill the loop, all I kept getting was a click from the power supply with the jumper plug into the 24 pin, I did have other cables plugged into the power supply but none connected at other end except the 8 pin motherboard power cable that plugs in at top left, (cables not plugged except at power end- GPUx3), google search mentioned putting power supply under slight load with fans, connected two Corsair nodes plugged into a commander pro, all connected to power, switch back on to start pump loop filling and get the same click sound again, after some fiddling decided to remove all cables from power supply except all of the Sata/Molex cables and the 24 pin, flick the switch at back and it's alive, pump starts filling loop with three RGB lights not lit up, the rest are, air removed from loop, leak test done, all good, pop out the jumper, reconnect 24 pin to motherboard along with the three 8 pin cables for the GPU and the 8 pin to top left of motherboard, now all cables connected to power supply, switch on at back, switch on at front, nothing, no power , at the time of writing this I am going back through my wiring and unplugging all cables from power supply to see what it will start up with plugged in, my first test is 24 pin to motherboard and the molex to the res/pump combo, will this harm any anything?
My build is
CPU 8 core I9 11900F
Msi Torpedo Z590 board
Msi GPU 3090 SUPRIM
Ram Corsair 3200 32G Vengeance
res pump combo
two M.2 sticks in board
two SSD drives, (not fitted yet)
+ 18 fans of which I have only seen four spinning and three of the 16 RGB fans not lighting up.
All of the is running off a Be Quiet straight power 11 1000W unit.
