Laptop - Philips Freevents 12NB5800

Problem - When i switch the laptop off it is very hard to start it up again. Basically i think there is some thing wrong with the power button, some times when i press it nothign happens, then after a few more presses there is nothing and then finally (50+ button pushes later) it works...

It is getting worse and worse and is now coming towards the end of its warranty, has any one else experienced some thing simialr to this on the same lappy or any other make?

Should be able to get it fixed under the warrenty but i HATE being with out my laptop, so can any one give some advise on some thing i can do myself?

cheers :D

I know hate being without it, but definitely sounds like a RMA issue here, I wouldn't risk anything as it might jeopardise what warranty you have left.
Get in touch with Philips and explain that you need back asap, they might even get it back just after new years :D

its a hardware fault for sure probably the switch contacts, nothing you can do without invalidating your warranty, i never turn my laptops off just send them into hibernate with the lid switch this will temporarily help.
