Hi guys,

I've got this 500w PSU, it has multiple leads for PCI-E which I guess would make it multiple GFX compliant?

Here's what I've got:

I currently only have 1 x Gigabyte 3870XT and am wanting to add another to the mix.
Anyone got any experience / advice on whether this PSU wll run 2 x 3870's?

If not, what would be a decent alternative that would run them both?

Thx a lot in advance.

hi

i would say that is pushing it but there must be someone here that would know for sure .

if you do get a new psu then try to get the best you can aford . if you get a 1kilowatt psu it might be overkill now but not too far into the future i can see us all on kilowatt psu s

cheers

I think you should be ok, ive had 2 x1950xt on a qualitiy 580 watt PSU with no problems.
Find some reviews of your PSU and have a look at what ATI reckon.

1KW! Total overkill imho.

Cant see it happening any time soon with manufacturers now making more energy efficient
hardware.
