power requirements for SLI'd 9600 GT

im not too sure and would see what other ppl post but i presume a decent 600w psu should do just fine. like that corsair one i hear so much about

but you dont think my hiper 580w would cut it ? :p

edit: after browsing the nvidia forums, I don't like what I see with the reports regarding sli'd cards on a hiper PSU. :p So I think it's best to remove the possibility of using it for SLI. :D

They are relatively low power compared to a lot of cards, so I doubt you need anything special.

mind passing a link there, mate? i'd like to see just how bad it is...

Hello Secret_Window, as already stated, the Nvidia 9600GT are fairly low powered cards. They will consume around 100 watts under load which equates to about 9 amps.

So a power supply unit such as the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU would power a rather top end system along with two Nvidia 9600GTs absolutely fine. They are fantastic little cards for the price in my opinion. :)
