Power saving tip with Nvidia 200 series

Using Riva tuner hardware monitoring I noticed that with only desktop showing my gtx 280 downclocked correctly to its power saving 2d mode, but when I started surfing it changed to 3d mode using far more power. I started to disable add-ons in Firefox until I found out which one was causing the 3d clocks to trip and it was a program called Piclens or Cooliris that was causing this issue.With no Piclens installed I can now surf the web in low power 2d mode.

Some programs seem to trigger it to jump to 3d speeds, especially anything thats hardware accelerated so it's definintely something to watch out for.
