Power steering fluid

whatever the case, you have to make sure you put the right fluid in. have you got that part sorted out?

if so you can top it up, but if the fluid is ancient... just drain and refill or have i totally missed the point?
 
Topping up or draining it and re-filling is your choice. Drain it if it's especially noisy.

Do make sure you pick the right fluid, the wrong stuff may still work for a while. Most common is ATF, but CHECK YOUR MANUAL.
