hey all having difficulty finding the correct hose to use for replacing a power steering return pipe. the existing ones a made of some thick rubber wall, 10mm internal diameter.

i can get silicone hoses but from what i read they are not reliable for use with oils. anyone know where i can get the proper rubber ones from? its a custom job im doing to move the cooler pipe need 1.5meter total length which i can then cut to size.

Look on yell.com or similar for hydraulic hose repairs.
They repair hoses for lifts, diggers, tippers etc...
I have had power steering hoses made in the past as they are cheaper than originals.

Depends on what car you're using it on and whether the power steering return pipe is pressurised or not (if it is then don't bother as it has no chance of staying on even with jubilee clips) but on my Fiesta ST (and lots of other people's too), you can use fuel pipe.

its for the low pressure return hose, the current ones on the car are held on with those spring tension clips so cant be much pressure going through it.

iv read on some forums that fluro lined silicone has issues with oil causing oil to seep through the pipe itself when in constant contact with oils.
