I have an original Corsair 620x from 2008.
I recently upgraded my system to 3970/p8z68v/8gb gskill. Got an audigy 2 sound card and a 500gb also plugged in.
I was using a geforce 210 while I was waiting to get some replacement pci-e cables as I had lost mine.
I got them today and plugged in my 7970HD, along with the 2x 6+2 pin connectors into the 8pin gfx card sockets. I used 2 seperate cables for each, even though each one splits into 2 6+2 pins.
Anyway it booted all fine, I was into win 7, was installing the AMD drivers, about 90% there when suddenly.........everything just switches OFF.
There is no light on the mobo so no power going into it...unless the mobo is gone?
Why would this happen? The PSU should be sufficient no?
Is the PSU gone so I need to get a new one?
