Hi

I have a friend who has a PSU its an Evo Labs Power supply 800Watt but i havent managed to get the model from him yet

Basically the cables from the PSU can come off so you can only install what ever cables you need - Please find attached below a picture of a cable that he needs. He has broken the cable and i looked everywhere but i am not sure what the cables are called. He has stapped 1 of the sata connectors.

Hope you can help.

Thanks
Dave

Can't find much info on the manufacturer......this means it could well be a cheap naff generic PSU that won't hold upto it's stated power output.

It's a modular PSU and to get a replacement cable it would make most sense to contact their customer services. Personally I'd want a better recognised PSU, 500W (ish) is ample for a single GPU setup

ok thanks i did say it could be a new psu as the psu is not a big brand. they dont even have much of a web site.

Thanks
Dave

If we knew the spec of the rig we could make some suggestions. Good PSUs have safety features and nice long warranties 3 years or more, modular is nice to have but does add to the cost

Chop the broken SATA off and use a 1 to 2 SATA cable if needed to get the extra SATA. I doubt if you will be able to source a cable quite the same.

Just phoned him and that is what he is going to do until he can afford a better one.

Thanks guys.
