Hello, can a psu be faulty but still power up componets? Pump, fans, hdd and powered up but pc didn't boot. Any tips or is it rma time for psu, its OCZ mod stream. System specs i7920, P6X58-e, ocz ram and real ssd 120gig.
Ive used a different psu its booted. So i guess it is faulty:o

Yeah, my 700w modxstream did the same. 24 pin connector was giving power, but the 8 pin cpu connector failed and stopped it posting. OCZ are rubbish. Going to cost me about £18 just to return it by rma.

Mine conked out yesterday, also a 700w Tried it in another computer to get the same result, fans on but no POST. Nice and quiet PSU (main reason for buying) but might look for something else :(

OCZ are quick in providing an RMA number though! Shame about the shipping cost to the Netherlands.
