Power supply for 680 sli

I am thinking of getting another gtx 680 so that I will have 2 gtx 680's in sli so my question is what type of power supply will I need? I already have a 850w corsair power supply would that be enough to power 2 680s?

That PSU is fine.

Easily I would have thought, I ran 2 480s on an 850W PSU. Just make sure you have the right power connectors or adapters, seems 680s can require various connectors 2x6, 1x6 and 1x8, or 2x8 pin.

Thanks guys I thought 850w would be enough to but when I googled it I got some conflicting answears

No problem at all, I've ran 7970 crossfire and 480 SLI off my 850W Corsair.
Not at the same time

2500k @ 4.5Ghz and GTX680 OC pulls a peak of 290W from the wall socket ..... which is about 250W at 12V

The 850W supply could run 3 or 4 GTX's
