i have a 34w tec to chill my watercooling, would a 300w psu with 30amps on the 5v rail ( what i'll be running it on) be good enough to run it without it exploding or something lol

the only things that will be running on that psu are 2 120mm fans and 1 80mm fan.

is there an easy adaptor to run a second psu?

i'm running a 750watt toughpower psu, but it will end up running a quad (amd or intel), hd2900xt, ddc ultra, 4x1gb ddr2, 1xhd 1xdvd.

it says 60a for 12v.

so could i run a tec on there as well? i am thinking more along the lines of chipset.

the other option is to run a 430 watt tec on a quad. anyone know the amps needed to run one of these? and how they do on a quad?

i have an adapter that came with my case so i can use 2 psu's, i'll fish it out in a bit and tell you what it looks like.

i'll be using the tec to chill my watercooling, first time ever using a tec so i only got a small one to have a mess about with so i'm not expecting any miracles ;)

heres a pic

Were you to stick a metal coaster to the top of that little beasty and perhaps sink it into your desk it would keep your drink nice and cool (Always wanted to do that, but can't bring myself to destroy my lovely desk) ;)

lol i guess your right, i fired it up today and it did get cold but just by keeping my finger on it kept it from getting too cold. oh well it could have worked :D
