Hey guys, since 2 or 3 days i have noticed a strange ticking noise so i decided to open up my case and locate the source. It seems to be coming from my power supply, i am sure it isnt a fan problem or any wire in the way i tried peeking inside with a flashlight. The sound seems to be somewhere at the bottom inside the power supply. It ticks at random intervals and random lengths. I have recorded a 30~ second audio clip of the PSU making this noise. Is this something serious? Can i ignore RMA'ing it if i can bare the annyoing sound?

PC specs:
CPU - I7 950 @ 3.07GHz
RAM - Kingston HyperX 6 GB DDR3
GFX -GTX 480
OS -Windows 7 64bit
Mobo- Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 DDR3 Motherboard
Power supply - Corsair TX650

I'd be concerned powersupplies don't normally make too many noises other than fans spinning up. I've just had the same psu as you fail in my system after 19months, having to rma to the netherlands. Going to buy another corsair while i wait but the tx850 this time. Hope rest of my system is ok, good luck with yours. At least corsair rma ment to be very good.

Update for you ocuk have offered to handle my rma, cheaper postage than netherlands. If you bought it from them mybe worth a call.
