Hi all

I got a HP Pavilion 550-255na Desktop PC it's about 7 years old now. But the power supply as done it's time and stopped working. So I'm after a replacement one. The original hp power supply is a 180 W uATX . But I can't find a replacement uATX power supply. So just wondering if anyone can suggest one that would fit all so more that 180 w . Thanks in advance

A google for your model only turned up... this post :o

There's a Silverstone page about PSU formats, does it look like any of those?

The motherboard picture on HP's website looks like you have a standard ATX 24 pin and 8 pin? Which would be cool (since it would mean no adapters needed).

Are all the connecters to the motherboard (24 pin etc) the same as standard PSUs or has Dell used their won type of connections\pin payouts?

Can you see any other information on the PSU like a model number etc?

Thank you for your help. I have upgraded the power supply unit with a Corsair cx600 all when we'll but the pc is a

Ultra Slim Tray SuperMulti DVD Burner drive that uses a very small power plug . Do anyone know if I can get a adapter for the driver. Many thanks

Sorry I'm not very good at this I have got picture of the plug from the old power supply but I still can't see the picture button to paste the link. Thank you in advance

It's easy enough when you get the hang of it. Go here and upload your image either by dragging and dropping it over the box or select "choose photo/video" where you point it to where the image is on your pc. Once it's uploaded you will see three dot's ... in the top right hand corner of your image, click on that and select "Get Share Links" and copy the BBCode one (third one down). Post that link on here and your picture will appear on the forum.

Think you may need a adaptor for a laptop drive.

Search for "Akasa 40cm SATA For Slimline Optical Drive Cable".
