Power supply issue

Hi all im looking at a new build on the sandybridge components and part of the build will be a new psu.

Im not sure what wattage to go for, im trying to keep the price down so i dont want to fork out for a 1000w psu when i dont need it.

Im going to have a single 6950 (maybe a nvidia 570, tough decision) with a standard i5 2500 build. My question is would a 650w psu be sufficient or would i need something more?

Currently im only planning on a single gpu rig but if i did want to go dual what watt psu would i need then?
