Hi peeps
Having a bit of an issue here with my computer / power supply. I'll try and explain it the best i can. The power supply is a corsair ax850, and I've had it for about 2 years 6 months now, I've never had any problems previously with it...
For a few weeks now, I have noticed if I turned my power supply off at the back, or if I unplug it completely from the wall.... When i turned it back on.. I had to wait 5, sometimes 10 minutes for the motherboard led's to return allowing me to switch it back on... Yes it was a bit annoying but i thought nothing of it really...
Well last night, I turned the power supply off and this morning, upon turning it back on, I am not even able to even get any power into the pc (it won't turn on). I've had the power supply out altogether and connected a few fans and in the case too, using the paperclip method, and it doesn't even turn on that way either. I have also tried different power cables & wall sockets... but that didn't work either
So I'm stuck here... I assume it's the power supply however I really don't have any other way of testing the system / motherboard with another one... and I'm reluctant to RMA it paying x amount of money for postage
So I ask for your opinions... Do you reckon it's the power supply?
Kind regards
James
