power supply output advice?

can anyone tell me ....would my system cope with 2x 295gtx's?? or 3x 275

bought all the following components except grapics as i was unsure of power requirments to either:

1 gtx295 with 8800gt as phyisx
2x gtx295
or triple bfg 275 ocx......

maybe would have chosen triple 285 but thats stretching it a bit in the pocket.

Even though it's roughly the same price as 2x295GTX's if not a bit cheaper

Willy waving to the extreme or what? If you have brought all of the above, one would hope that you have enough expertise and knowledge to enable you to spec up a suitable psu, which apparently you have with the 1kw corsair hx psu.

One thing that does concern me though is this;

to be honest 2xgtx 275s would be more than enough

however just buy on egtx275 and wait for the dx 11 cards no poin tin spending that money on graphics cards if they are going to be inferior to the ones coming out next year

in answer to question no im not willy waving its just a system iv taken 5-6 months (started in march) to aquire aslo includes wait for case as its a custom wetsprayed job, oh and lighting just mean 3x ccfl 10x light strips in case and outside case as well on rear of monitor

answer is my old system which im typing this to you on now is a setup i built way back in 2005/6 with amd 939 4800x2 sli 2x 8800gt.

this year decided to upgrade and noticed that my old 700w psu didnt support a lot of sli/crossfire setups using as of now technology especially as mine only has 2 x 6pin pci-e.

i looked around and found 295 load watt was in the mid 500watt range and the 285 and 275 were high as well and so wasnt sure whether a 1 kw would do say 3 275 or 2x 285 and especially 2x295 with wattage left over for other hardware?.

so no willy waving just a simple question with a list of hardware.

judging from the last message received i think ill just get a 295 and wait untill next year as my gaming is (no willy waving) done on 2 30" hazro's (im in the hazro thread a lot in monitor section ) and i think the 295 would be better suited for it than the 275 after all iv seen supplier selling aound £300 which is about the same as 2 275 and thus freeing a slot.
