Hi,
I'm currently running an ASUS a8r-mvp mobo with a HIS 1800XL gfx, 1 x 150Gb Raptor and AMD 4000CPU.
All is good, and I'm happy...
...however, I recently purchased the Powercolor master card to set up a crossfire configuration.
After installation of the new card, and drivers, the display (Samsung 913n) seemed fine. However, when the HDD was being accessed the screen would show what I can only describe as horizonal "interference" lines. This only occured when the HDD was being accessed.
I thought this could be a power supply issue, but I've got a Hiper HPU-4B580 Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU, which I would assume would be up to the job.
In the end, after much fiddling and straching of head, I returned the powercolor card for a refund.
I'm now hoping to save for a x1900x and eventually add a mastercard to that. Do you think this will occur again? Or does any one have any ideas what might of caused the interference in the first place.
Thanks in advance
Hussman
