hello everyone im new here and i have a little problem my power supply has blown (keeps blowing fuses) ive returned it and getting a replacement i was wondering why it blown in the first place and could it have done any damage to my rig?
thank you

Theres only one way to find out if the bits are damaged and thats to wait for your replacement psu.

just out of interest what make and model is it? whats the specs of the pc its trying to power?

ashamed to say i bought a Hi-Power Black 800W Modular 13.5cm Fan PSU it was cheap on ******. before anyone says anything i know i should have bought a better psu.
spec of pc:-

HD 5770 1024MB PCi-E DVI HDMI
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Memory Kit 1.65V CL9
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Socket AM3 3.2 GHz 8MB L3 Cache
Corsair CWCH50-1 Cooling Hydro Series H50
Seagate 7200.12 500GB HDD
LG GH22LS50 22x DVD±RW

i agree with you but i have already sent it off for a replacement i will probably replace it in a couple of months as im going to be running crossfire.

You should have got a refund and bought a decent one instead. Now you are going to be running a identical crap psu that has every chance of failing also. You just better hope that it has'nt taken out any of your other components.
