Power supply question

Im looking at getting a new rig but i have a query when deciding on the powere supply.

Im looking at getting a modular power supply, most come with the 6-2 pin pci-e coonections and im wondering will my gtx 460 be able to fit in these slots, it requires 2 6 pin pci-e connections?

Sorry if it sounds a noob question but i want to be certain before i order

Yes you should be fine the as they are 6+2 connections. The plug splits into a 6 and a 2 so it can be used as a 6 pin PCI e plug or an 8 pin PCI e plug.

no silly questions just idiots frowning at having bought the wrong kit, same goes for the 20+4 pin connectors for the mobo so that you can use it for a 20 or a 24 pin board
