Currently running the system below with a single GTX 480 on an 800watt power supply with no problems. Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea on what sort of power supply I will need if I add another GTX 480. Would 1000W be sufficient? What sort of power supply specifications should I be looking at?

System specs,

i7 4770k 3.5GHz (no overclock)
16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance memory (2 x 8GB)
2 x Nvidia GTX 480 in SLI
1 x wireless network card
2 x 7200 hard drives
1 x SSD
1 x DVD burner
7 x case fans (3 x basic LED, 4 x high performance)

Thanks

I just got home and thought I'd double check the model of my psu and to my surprise it's not an 800watt like I was sure it was, but a 700watt :/

So I definitely need a new power supply now and from what has been said above I can select an appropriate power supply.

i'm thinking it may be more beneficial for me now to sell my two 480 cards and buy a single card of equal spec instead of buying a new power supply.

your not going to get anywhere near enough for a 770 selling your 2 480's but you might get almost enough to get you a 670 with the price they are selling for at the moment which wouldn't be that far off 480 sli.
