Power supply should I go modular?

Hey everyone Im so close to buying my new pc however I have one final question about the PSU.
The one im looking at buying is

But should I be looking at a modular PSU instead?
I read that this PSU was great so any other reccomendations would be brilliant.

Modular only helps if your current rig leaves a lot of leftover cables from your PSU lying out and your case isnt built with good management or hasnt got a lot of space to hide the unused cables without sacrificing air flow.

Basically modular isn't essential and if your not worried about a possibly untidy or slightly hotter build then stick to a wired PSU as it will keep price for the same watts down aswell

A modular psu will certainly help with cable management. This one is highly reccomended, few quid more than the corsair.

The case im going for is Lian-Li PC-7FNWX Black Mid Tower Computer Case which does have cable management features.
I think ill stick to regular psu then as any unused cables can easily be stored away

Just installed this on my system and have got to say it's a brilliant item, good length of cables and even testing outside the case it's in-audible

Just seen theres a modular version of the power supply ive selected for an extra £10.
Will it be the exact same quality but just modular?
I cant find any reviews on the modular version probabbly because its the exact same with the option to go modular?

Its brand new out so no reviews - but they said its based of the version i linked but just modular.
Im really skeptical to buying it seeing as theres no reviews out for the modular version

Well I posted the xfx core because although it's a few £ more and non modular the tests performed on jonnyguru showed the xfx pus's to be some of the most stable they've ever seen and the lepa ones passed but were a bit more rippley (if that's a term I can use ><)

Should be exact same only not hardwired, buy it as ya shouldn't have an issue with corsair and if ya like the results of the reviews ya read it'll be fine

My main problem would be it being louder than the original version the modular version must be brand spanking new as I cant find it mentioned on any other forums Just found the fan is 20mm smaller than the non modular version

Well if you want a quiet 750w modular (well semi modular) PSU I'm gonna recommend this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-001-XF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1497 as I've got it fitted and can say it's really silent and it's a few quid cheaper than the corsair modular and as a rebranded seasonic it's got build quality as solid as bedrock

Just on price I take it, cos the tests on jonnyguru show the xfx to be more stable to me, xfx review here

I would only ever buy modular now. So much easier to work with and the benefit of superior air flow with better cable management.

Can highly recommend the PSU in my sig. Had it almost three years now, utterly stable, silent, best PSU I've ever had. Would never buy non-modular again.
