Hi,

I have just bought the Cataclysm Deathwing from overclockers.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-170-OE&groupid=43&catid=2040&subcat=

- Case: BitFenix Shinobi - Black
- Power Supply: OCZ 700w StealthXStream II
- CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz overclocked to 4.40GHz
- Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooler
- RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drive: 1TB HDD + 30GB SSD
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5
- Sound: Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board)
- Optical Drive: LG DVD+/-RW SATA Drive

I also went for a 30GB SSD upgrade to bang the OS on! :)

My question is that if i would like to upgrade this with another GTX 580 will my PSU handle it?

I am not sure if i would need another GTX 580 for Battlefield 3? However i thought i would make the questions as im sure some point in the future i will buy another to SLI.

Open to any suggestions for any part of the rig aswell! :)

Thanks!

Hi and Thanks!

yes i was thinking i would need a higher wattage but wasn't 100% sure!

I know 30GB was small but its been bought now lol, i thought it would be big enough though now it seems that i might be struggling with the OS, drivers and pagefile (Virtual mem).

Do you think BF3 will run up to the top details on this rig, as i will be on a resolution of 1600x1050 because of my monitor?

Thanks,

A 580 is the fastest single GPU out there, i think you will be ok. Its hard to say as nobody really knows the requirements or how it runs at the moment.

Only time will tell....

Lol no worries!

And thanks for your help mate, guess ill have to wait and see! :)

btw have i missed something in the past few years... i had a 9600GT before which was around the size of my hand now i have a GPU thats the length of my forearm haha!

Are all GPU's this gigantic size now days?
